Blog Exercise #7 Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions

Blog Exercise #7

I have presented today about the long and short term orientations and I have learned that its not easy to take a long term path because countries will loss sometimes to access for they want in the future. While the short term they just thinking of what a results that they will got immediately. the other things that who take the long term he will not stop even if he has a break until he access to what he wanted, but the short term they can have a break because they just thinking about today and tomorrow.

I think the UAE is simple of long term because of the changes that happened while 44 years.

With partners, answer the following:
1.      Where, when and with whom did this experiment take place?                                                                         At school, in Tuesday and Wednesday, with teacher and students.
2.      Describe the experiment.                                                                                                                                           The experiment was to discrimination between brown eyes people and blue eyes people. In the first day, the teacher praised that the blue people are better, smarter than brown people. And don’t let brown people play with the blue people in playground. The result of that one of brown people hit a student from blue people because he called him brown eyes. In the next day, the teacher has changed her word that praise the brown people on blue people and brown people are smarter and better than blue people. Blue people don’t play in playground with brown people because nobody likes them.
3.     What were the results?
The student realized that there is no difference between brown or blue people and they are same .
4.     How successful do you believe it was?

In my opinion, it was very successful to start learn children about the discrimination and they are same and there is no difference between black and white, blue and brown. Because the problem sometimes come from the parents that to learn their children bad things about different people.
