1.   Look at these ten aspects which make up your cultural identity. Then, fill in the last two columns – one for somebody who works for your family and one for an expatriate friend. There are other aspects of cultural diversity but these are the main ones.

2. How many countries are there in the world today? 196 countries.

3. How many ethnic groups are there in the world today? Around 5000 ethnic groups.

4. How many ethnic groups are there living in the UAE?   8 ethnic groups.

5. What is wrong with this chart?  UAE Emirati citizens have a lower percent in this chart.

6. What percentage of the UAE population is Emirati in 2014?  11.5 percent

7. Why is the percentage so small?  Because of increasing the proportion of foreign workers in the state.

8. The UAE's population strategy plans to make Emiratis the majority in the country or up to 40 per cent, by 2021, members of the Federal National Council (FNC) told Gulf News.

9. Do you think this will happen? Yes.

10. Why do you think this? Because a lot of female citizens are married from foreigners, and in the future their children will become citizens.

11. Do you have any different ethnic groups in your ancestry or your family today?  No.

12. What are the benefits of having a mixed cultural heritage?

To be having an idea about other cultures, customs and traditions.
